Your sexual health is an important part of your overall well-being. Getting tested for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) is a responsible and proactive step you can take for yourself and your partner. AWC Centers provides FREE testing and treatment for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea at both of our locations in a safe, non-judgmental, and completely confidential environment.
Making an informed decision about your sexual health starts with getting the facts. According to the CDC, there are about 20 million new cases of STDs each year in the United States. Half of these infections occur in people between 15 and 24 years of age.
One of the biggest risks is that many STDs don’t cause any symptoms you would notice. This means you can get an STD from having sex with someone who has no symptoms and feels perfectly healthy. The only way to know for sure is to get tested. Taking a few minutes for a simple test gives you peace of mind and protects your long-term health.
We understand that you may feel nervous, so we’ve made our process as easy and stress-free as possible. Here’s what you can expect:
You’ll meet one-on-one with an advocate in a private room. They will answer any questions you have and ensure you feel comfortable and informed.
Testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea is done with a simple urine sample. There are no invasive swabs or blood draws required.
You will leave your initial appointment for a follow-up appointment to receive your results. If you test positive, there is no need to worry. We will provide you with the necessary prescription medication to treat the infection at no cost to you.
AWC Centers provides free testing and treatment for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. Most people don’t initially experience any symptoms of these illnesses. However, if left untreated, both illnesses can lead to lasting complications. You can contract an STD through vaginal, anal, and oral sex.
