Potential Symptoms of Pregnancy

Pregnancy symptoms differ from woman-to-woman and pregnancy-to-pregnancy. However, one of the most significant symptoms for pregnancy is a delayed or missed period.

In addition to a missed period, the earliest symptoms of pregnancy might include:

  • Nausea, with or without vomiting
  • Tender, swollen breasts
  • Increased urination
  • Fatigue
  • Food aversions or cravings
  • Bloating

You may experience these symptoms within a week of becoming pregnant.

It’s also possible for a few weeks to go by before you experience any symptoms.

These symptoms don’t always mean you’re pregnant, and some pregnant women don’t experience any of the symptoms.

If you have been sexually active, missed a period or are experiencing any of these symptoms, it’s important to take a pregnancy test.
